Timna Valley National Park

Timna Valley National Park is the first copper mine in the world.  Offering magnificent scenery along with recreational oppurtunity, travelers can take a look at the sight of tall, dark, jagged granite peaks lying opposite the softer, rounded red and white sandstone.  Watch a multimedia presentation called "Mines of Time" that relates the story of copper mining and it's significance to Ancient Egyption Culture.  In addition, the park also contains King Solomon's Pillars, a unique landscape carved out by water erosion.

Bicycle tours are available.
